Our Daddy is Invincible

Our Daddy Is Invincible! is a book for kids of parents with brain injury.

It was written by Shannon Maxwell whose husband, Tim, sustained a traumatic brain injury in Iraq in 2004.

The illustrator, Liza Biggers, lost her brother, Ethan, at age 22. In 2006, he was shot by a sniper in Baghdad and succumbed to his wounds 11 months later after a long battle.

Alexis, Shannon and Tim's daughter, wrote the foreword. "Even if the bad guys got him, he was still my daddy — a little different, but my wonderful father who loves me."

About the book
