Transitional Learning Center at Galveston

Founded in 1982, The Transitional Learning Center at Galveston (TLC) provides survivors of brain injury with the rehabilitation services aimed at community re-entry. Most patients live on-site, which allows the treatment team to observe behaviors 24 hours a day. More medically complex patients may begin their program in one of TLC’s lower-functioning pathways and then transition to a community re-entry programs as their function improves. On-and off-site apartments provide higher functioning patients the ability to practice living independently.
